VPNZONE › WireGuard VPN
A WireGuard® VPN, end to end
Every VPNZONE connection uses WireGuard®, the modern VPN protocol now built into the Linux kernel. It is smaller, faster and easier to audit than the protocols most VPNs grew up on.
Why WireGuard
- Small and auditable — about 4,000 lines of code, against roughly 600,000 for OpenVPN. Less code means fewer places for bugs to hide.
- Modern cryptography — ChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption, Curve25519 key exchange, perfect forward secrecy: today's keys can't unlock yesterday's traffic.
- Fast to connect — the tunnel comes up in about a second.
- Roams without dropping — move between Wi-Fi and mobile data and the tunnel keeps going.
How VPNZONE uses it
Our servers are single-purpose: each one runs only WireGuard® and a private DNS resolver, which keeps the attack surface minimal. DNS lookups stay inside the tunnel, with DNS, IPv6 and WebRTC leak protection. Nothing about what you do is logged.
WireGuard on every device
Use the one-tap app on Android, the desktop app, a one-command install script on Linux, or generate a standard WireGuard® configuration for your router and cover every device at home — all on the same subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Is WireGuard more secure than OpenVPN?
Both are considered secure. WireGuard uses a fixed set of modern, peer-reviewed algorithms and a far smaller code base, which makes it easier to audit and faster to connect.
Can I use VPNZONE with my own WireGuard client?
Yes — on Linux with the install script, and on routers with the configuration generator on our website.
Does WireGuard work on mobile networks?
Yes. It roams between Wi-Fi and mobile data without dropping the tunnel.
